Forward Verizon (mobile) to an AI receptionist
Keep your published number and forward calls to MyAIVoiceAgent when you want the agent to answer.
In dial codes below, XXXXXXXXXX is the ten-digit number you want calls forwarded to (your area code plus number, no +1). Anywhere you see “your MyAIVoiceAgent number”, use the MyAIVoiceAgent number from your account after you sign up.
Every call
- From the mobile phone, dial *72XXXXXXXXXX (for example *72-908-123-4567) and press Call.
- Listen for a series of beeps, then wait for the call to end automatically.
To turn it off: From the same phone, dial *73. You'll hear a confirmation tone or message that may sound like a busy signal. This turns off both immediate and conditional forwarding.
You must use the mobile phone; Verizon says forwarding can't be managed without it (Customer Service 800-922-0204 if *72 or *73 doesn't work). your MyAIVoiceAgent number must be an active voice-capable US line, 10 digits with the area code. No international forwarding. Without unlimited minutes, forwarded calls are billed according to your plan. No monthly fee on most plans, but a fee may apply on some older plans. Star codes may not work outside Verizon coverage, and forwarding can't be set up while roaming internationally. Texts are not forwarded.
Only calls I miss
- From the mobile phone, dial *71XXXXXXXXXX (for example *71-999-555-4567) and press Call.
- Listen for a series of beeps, then wait for the call to end automatically.
To turn it off: Dial *73 from the phone.
Conditional forwarding sends calls to your MyAIVoiceAgent number when the phone is busy or not answered after 3 to 6 rings, instead of to voicemail. The ring count is not user-adjustable according to the official pages. The same caveats as 'always' apply.
