Forward Something else to an AI receptionist
Keep your published number and forward calls to MyAIVoiceAgent when you want the agent to answer.
In dial codes below, XXXXXXXXXX is the ten-digit number you want calls forwarded to (your area code plus number, no +1). Anywhere you see “your MyAIVoiceAgent number”, use the MyAIVoiceAgent number from your account after you sign up.
Every call
- From the line you want to forward, dial *72XXXXXXXXXX and wait for confirmation.
- Your agent answers every call that reaches your MAIV number.
To turn it off: From the same line, dial *73.
Most North American carriers use these codes. If yours does not, ask them for call forwarding on no answer and give them your MAIV number.
Only calls I miss
- To forward when nobody answers, dial *92XXXXXXXXXX.
- To forward when the line is busy, dial *90XXXXXXXXXX.
- You still pick up first when you are free.
To turn it off: Dial *73 from the line you forwarded.
These are the common North American busy and no-answer codes. Your carrier may use different ones.
After hours
Most carriers do not offer scheduled forwarding from the phone itself. The closest option is turning always-forward on and off by hand, or asking your carrier what they support.
